Why Charlotte

In 2001, God placed a word in the hearts of Pastor Stacy and Pastor DeNae that said, "It's time to go home." They knew in their spirits that God was calling them to start a ministry. Unaware of where that home was, they persisted in listening for God to confirm His word while they continued to make a difference, touching lives in Gainesville, Florida. They knew that if indeed God had spoken, the desire would not go away but grow stronger. On the way back to Florida, after the funeral of Pastor Stacy's father in 2002, they made a pit stop in Charlotte. As they entered the city of Charlotte, in the same voice they had previously encountered, they heard the words "welcome home."

Having never seen this city, they wondered why God wanted to place them here. After seeing the area and researching the history and development of Charlotte, they realized that they were made for the city and the city was made for them. Over the next three years, God continued to confirm his word with signs and peace within their spirits. In the summer of 2005, they felt that it was time to move according to the word in their hearts so strongly that they believed a delay would put them in rebellion towards God. In August 2005, the LeMays packed up and left all they knew in pursuit of God's destiny for their lives. The word in their hearts at this time was to go into a land that they did not know and God would meet them there. Since their arrival, God has shown great favor on their lives and confirmed their call to the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. The promise of God is that their latter days will be greater than the past and that their best is yet to come.
